Chronic Pain Compassion visits with Toni

Toni with Rojo the Llama

Toni has the unique and enviable distinction of being Rojo’s first Superfan/Llama Stalker. Joining Mtn Peaks on numerous therapy visits starting in 2008, Toni adores the herd and its people. She credits her time volunteering with Rojo and The Boys as finally dragging her out of a depression spawned by years of chronic pain. Toni has lived with chronic back pain (and assorted other body parts as time marches on) for over 25 years. She has literally written the book on how to navigate a life with pain while still finding hope and contentment (I’m FINE. – A Practical Guide to Life with Chronic Pain). Toni believes there is great healing when you find others who really “get it” and truly understand the challenges of always hurting. She is ecstatic to have the opportunity to introduce other chronic pain sufferers to the herd and to each other. Both have fantastic potential to help make the pain a bit more bearable.

Our fall 2022 dates for therapeutic interactions on the farm are August 23rd 4:00pm-7:00pm, September 21st 4:00pm-7:00pm, & October 17th 4:00pm-7:00pm
